Given how much I love Christmas, it is incredibly surprising that I haven’t done a themed post yet… I wasn’t even going to post one today, I was actually going to post a beauty product review until I saw Melissa-lou’s post and immediately propelled myself into writing this new, inspired post!
Let’s get right into it then…
What is your favourite Christmas movie?
Out of the many I have to say that ‘Love Actually’ always gives the waterproof-ness (is that a word?) of my eye makeup a run for its money… I have watched it countless times, however I do also love the American animated christmas film, ‘Annabelle’s Wish’. It is about a calf who wants to learn to fly like Santa’s reindeer, it is an unbearably cute film, just talking about it makes me want to watch it.
Do you open your presents on Christmas Eve or Christmas Morning?
Always Christmas morning, I like the idea of one present on christmas eve but my parents do not. I suppose I will have to wait until I have a family of my own to start that tradition!
Do you have a favourite Christmas Memory?
I don’t have a specific Christmas memory that stands out massively. But when I was younger my family and I would all go outside to the porch of my house and leave mince pies for Santa and a carrot for Rudolph on Christmas Eve. I know a lot of families do that but it is still a fond memory I have of anticipating Christmas!
What is your favourite festive food?
I will admit it, I am quite a fussy eater and not a huge fan of the traditional, British roast dinner… So I am going to have to say my advent calendar, if that counts…
What is the favourite Christmas gift you have ever received?
I have been fortunate enough to of been given many lovely things over the years, like my first guitar. However, one of my favourite things has been my ‘My Little Pony’ mug that was given to me by my brother, George, and his girlfriend, Melissa. Don’t ask me why, it just is.
Do you have any Christmas Eve Traditions?
Apart from the old tradition I mentioned earlier where we put mince pies and a carrot outside the door, my family don’t actually have any Christmas Eve traditions any more.
What tops your Christmas Tree?
I have two Christmas trees in my house, one has an angel on it and the other has a Santa on it.
As a kid, what was the one crazy/wild/extravagant gift you ever asked for but never received?
A pony… I still ask for one every year…
What is the best part of Christmas for you?
My family is very small but even so, we don’t see very much of each other and Christmas is the best opportunity for us all to come together. My family don’t tend to spend much time together as we are all getting older and everyone is busy with their own things going on. So I really value Christmas where we all just spend the whole day together and everyones happy. I love buying presents for people as well.
Thank you for reading this post! Let me know if you have a blog and have done the Christmas tag, i’d love to read it!
